I have had great help from assistant scoutmaster during the years. One of my best men was Duaine Williams who was playing football for BYU during those years. He had a Nephi, Moroni, Ammon type stature as far as I was concerned and could easily have posed for any of the images that were drawn of those prophets. He was tall and strong and a favorite SM of the staff and candidates. Well before I became involved Timberline there had been a tradition started called Mountain Mama. One day during the week the Scoutmasters would dress up in old dresses and cook breakfast for the boys. They always enjoyed it and we decided that Duaine had to be the largest Mountain Mama we ever had but he was laughing and had a great time cooking just like mama could. A few years later the practice was stopped as one of the boys complained about the men dressing like women. We also stopped all skits that involved cross-dressing as well after that. No one could ever dispute though how good Mountain Mama could cook.
