Last of the catch up; Icicles on the north side of the house

The icicles grew in about 24 hours to one that was nearly 3 feet long. I knocked them down due to fear of the weight on the rain gutters.

Another day in the life of the snowmen.

My view of New Year's celebrations from my study window.

These are some of the hand held shots I took with my Canon through the window of the den (study) looking south.

These are through the bedroom window looking north at other neighbors firework displays.

Loved how the red light from the fireworks shown red through the icicles.

Brooklyn loved the snow.

Here are a few of the scenes from our snow storms. Brooklyn took a lot of convincing to go out in it at first and then when she did it took more convincing than before to go back inside.

This is the little snowman I built first when the snow didn't pack too well.

It was written all over her face "Grandpa I am going to hit you with a snowball." She missed and got it all back into her face.

"Come on Grandpa and keep up with me."

Kade came out with Mom and Dad.

And Scott came out and soon became the target.

Salt Lake City Trip to Temple Square The Trian Ride to SLC

So we got onto the Front Runner Train in Provo and headed for SLC.

Ben's Family joined us at American Fork.

When we got there we went over to see the Macy's candy display first.

Then across the street to Temple Square.

This is the entire group minus me  behind the camera.

They got me in a later picture.

I had Alex on my lap on the way home on the train and my camera as well. So I pointed the camera from my lap toward the others and he just kept pushing the button. A couple that was sitting across from Marie and I must have been thinking how crazy I was to just let my grandsons push the button like that. They didn't say anything but I was really wondering what they were thinking.
These first few have a dark section at the bottom due to Alex adjusting the dials and me not realizing which ones he had moved.

It didn't take long to figure out he had it set at 1/600th of a second with the flash so the dark at the bottom was the camera shutter curtain moving back into place. (It syncs to the flash at 1/250th.)

Later Kade thought that it was fun and got on my lap so he could do it too.

Brooklyn thought it more fun to get in front of the camera .
RIGHT in FRONT.

We had a great evening and really enjoyed ourselves.
