I decided after a short hike to one side of the lake

that this should be a wild "spider reserve". 

There were spiders all over the place.

Literally trees and bushes filled with them.

A closer look at this web will reveal a number of spiders.

But there were also other things

that I have always enjoyed.

There were also some wild flowers.

The Mayflies were so thick you would have to

wave your hands and arms to get through them

and other insects

A daring walk out onto the platform 

and Kade was up to it,

after we made him put a lifejacket on.

Brooklyn was having fun down memory lane

this was where she had gone earlier in the summer

to Girl's Camp.
