Saturday June 14, 2014 Mom and I were asked to photograph the
Cheyenne Palmer's family. We went up and
spent basically the entire day with them and had a great time.
When we started to photograph them we decided to start withe
the grandchildren first so we would be able to do it before they got tired.
That almost worked but still had a couple that didn't really want to cooperate.
While working with them one of the men noticed the bear on the mountain
and that kind of helped a bit in getting the children into a photo mood.
We were trying to help them see the bear.
Later in the afternoon two of Cheyenne's brothers decided
to go up onto the side of the hill and see if we could get a
comparison of them to the the size of the bear.
We did not get to exactly where the bear had been
but came close enough that I found some of the vegetation
that matched and could adjust image sizes to be fairly accurate
to the actual size.
But I just had to have a little more fun with the image.
How often do we hike through the mountains and
come this close to wildlife without even noticing?
Well probably all the time with lizards and chipmunks
but I doubt it would ever happen with a bear.
