April 26, 2017 Power equipment installed.
Was told 2 to 3 days and Rocky Mountain Power
would be out to install the new meter in far left panel
that would be required to produce the solar and get credit
for the power produced.
May 2, 2017 power meter reads "93910"
I wish I had photographed this the day it was installed also.
May 7, 2017 meter reading of "94021"
A power usage of 111 kwh
note: still no new meter, called and
was told that I had one panel too many
for RMP's liking so my approval was having to be
done differently.
(They may have had good reason when I found out
what my system was going to be able to do."
May 18, 2017
Never got to find out the final meter reading yet.
But notice the time before this was finally
completed, "23 Days"
the 24 means the amount of power produced by the solar
the 14 is the amount of power being used
from RMP.
So by the time I got home we had consumed 8 kwh's
produced nothing. So I tried to connect
but the weather was very cloudy and
I could not get enough production to
pair the panels.
So on the 20th still no production.
We had plenty of sunlight but
I still couldn't get it to pair.
The rep then came here and within minutes
we were producing power, everything had apparently
been working all along except for the power actually
being recognized as being produced.
So yesterday after the power produced was being recorded and
it was a very sunny day we had produced 20 kwh's os of last night.
The image above shows what the day has been like
this morning so I didn't have a lot of hope of producing much power.
We have now used 69 kwh's of RMP
and as of 2:41 pm today added 14 kwh's
to total 34 in cloudy conditions.
Now as of 3:53 pm we have had sunny conditions and
added another 6 kwh's.
While still having used on 69 from RMP.
After two days of near perfect production
solar quest will send me an email with an
app that will allow me to watch the progress
as recorded each day.
