Hobble Creek Canyon Hike September 27, 2020

Kate's birthday 9/27/20

Her new bike needed broken in on her birthday

There were even fish there to help her celebrate

The path was nice and paved

so the bike and scooter could go 

much faster than those of us walking

they just had to wait on us.

It was a beautiful fall day

Alex wanted his picture taken 

so I just had o follow.

1st stop on a rock

 2nd one in a tree

More fall colors

and a photo op with mom for Kate

and then we started finding golf balls

 this was pretty much the last time they waited 

since we were headed back and Alex's

backpack was heavy with golf balls

OK, Kate waited a little more

Meanwhile Dad found more golf balls

 

A hike up Maple Canyon to see fall colors

The leaves are starting to change colors

Time to take a hike

We went up Maple Canyon East of Mapleton

Marie, Alex, Kate, Jeff, Brittany

We could see where the fire had gone as well

They have a lot of benches along the trail

and Kate took advantage of that.

There was a small spring right to the side of the trail
